Not respecting Discord's guidelines

Everything you do with Laguno has to respect Discord's Terms and Community Guidelines.

NSFW content

Using NSFW content in Laguno's features and commands, or trading scales for that kind of product or content, is not allowed.

Getting around restrictions and cheating

Trying to get an advantage by dodging Laguno's restrictions — such as making extra accounts to claim the daily scales, or using another person or account to do it — is forbidden.

Trading scales for real money

Selling, renting or trading scales (or any item in the economy — banners, frames, badges) for real money, or for any product with real monetary value, is FORBIDDEN. Advertising that you are selling or looking to buy counts too — do not do it even as a joke, because we have no way of knowing whether you mean it. If someone offers, report it to the Team: we do not protect you from theft and scams, and you will be banned along with the other party. Examples of what cannot be traded: Discord Nitro, accounts, gift cards, real money, in-game currency, scripts, Roblox items, and so on. Anything with real monetary value.

Evading punishments

Trying to evade or get around punishments is not tolerated. Evading your ban (making another account to use Laguno) means you can no longer be unbanned.

Attacking Laguno

Trying to attack, damage or bring down Laguno or any part of his infrastructure — the bot, the dashboard, the database or the API.

Copying Laguno

Taking inspiration is fine. Copying the lot wholesale is not.

Prizes and scams on other servers

The Laguno Team takes no responsibility for prizes offered in giveaways, events and rewards on other servers. We cannot moderate every use of Laguno on every server there is, so use your head to work out whether something might be a scam. Even so, we do step in when somebody acts in bad faith to run scams at scale.

Covering for rule-breaking

Covering for ban evasion (someone banned who made another account to use Laguno) gets you banned along with them. The same goes for staying quiet and going along with breaches of these guidelines.

Impersonating Laguno or the Team

Trying to pass yourself off as Laguno or as somebody from the Team, or spreading lies ("fake news") about the project. That includes using his fan art and his name, making bots with the same name and avatar, or claiming an official relationship with Laguno or the Team when you have none.

Insulting or sexualising Laguno

Offending, insulting or sexualising Laguno. That includes gratuitous hate, even dressed up as criticism, and heavy abuse. He may be a bot, but there is a person behind him working to make him what he is — anyone who disrespects him in public loses the privilege of using him.

Harming other users

Trying to deceive, threaten or harm any Laguno user inside the community, in the course of using him.

Pestering the Team about bans

Pestering the Team — on the official servers or anywhere else — about bans handed to friends or acquaintances gets you banned along with them. The right route is the ban appeal (see below). Going around pinging the Team in unofficial places looking for help with bans can make your own ban longer, or make it permanent.

Your account is your responsibility

We take no responsibility for accounts that are sold, lent, given away or hacked. What happens with your account is on you: if somebody else used it to break the rules, you are the one banned, because the account is yours. That includes using other people's accounts to claim the daily scales.

Backing banned people and servers

Backing and/or promoting people and servers banned from using Laguno is forbidden, and gets you, your server and everyone involved banned. We do not want Laguno, or his economy, used to promote people who break these guidelines.
